In 2017 I decided to go to the North and see my home through the lens of half a lifetime. Beyond Here was a set of works about the dialogue between memory and reality.

Burnsall Winter won me the medaille d argent for peinture at the 2018 Salon of the Societie Nationale des Beaux Arts.
Backstreet Burnley was chosen by Boris Johnson in his capacity as Prime Minister as a visual reminder of the government’s commitment to the red wall constituencies, it is now hung in Downing St and listed in the Government Art Collection

My studies of the people and places around County Durham led to me be selected as artist in residence for The Bowes Museum’s Norman Cornish retrospective, and as a consequence of the public reaction to that, I was appointed to be the inaugural artist for The Bowes Museum’s new program of bigger artist led solo shows.
