Digital
For me contemporary work has to be work that could only have been made now and for that reason I embrace digital sketching and visualisation as part of my imagining process. The digital works here span my all of my shows.
My work exists on its own pictorial terms so for me visual art is visual design.
By painting on photographs I can blend the outer appearance of things with how I see them.
I explore the difference between what we see and what we know to be true.
